The Academy of Labour and Social Relations is one of the leading educational, scientific and methodical centre in the field of economics and sociology of labour, social management, finance, labour safety, legal regulation of social and industrial relations on principles of social partnership. At the Academy there are eight faculties. Three of them (Social Sciences and Economics, Finance, Law) offer programmes of higher professional education. Three other faculties (Economics, Human Resources and Personnel Management; Social Partnership; Labour Safety) offer further education programmes for persons with higher education. There are also International Faculty and Faculty for Pre-University Studies. The academy offers 10 PhD programmes. There are Scientific Councils for PhD and D.Sc. degrees awarding. The Academy is one of the founders of the International Association of Education Institutions preparing students for their professional career in the field of Social and Industrial Relations. In 2000 the Academy of Labour and Social Relations was included into ""World List of Universities and Other Institutions of Higher Education"", 22nd Edition, published under aegis UNESCO by The International Association of Universities.
